Application to Sixth Form

There are over 200 Sixth Form students at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, many of whom have progressed from Year 11 but also a significant number of students who have joined from other schools.

All potential Sixth Form students must complete the application form below and are invited to attend the Sixth Form Information Evening on Thursday 7th November, 6pm.

Please note that Friday 14th February is the last date for unrestricted subject choices. After this point, any changes to A Level choices must be made by completing a ‘Request for Course Change’ – please email [email protected] if you require this form. Any offers of provisional places would normally be made towards the end of the spring term. 

All prospective Sixth Form students are expected to attend our Sixth Form Induction in June 2025 after GCSEs have finished. This will be an opportunity to firm-up on subject choices, find out more about individual subjects, meet new friends and see just how the Sixth Form works

Application Afternoons

Application afternoons are a chance for prospective students from other schools to visit the Sixth Form in normal school time.  Parents are welcome to attend.  Existing Sixth Form will act as tour guides and you will have the opportunity to talk to a member of the senior staff who will give you advice on Sixth Form courses and alternatives.

For September 2025 entry, Application Afternoons from 2pm to 3.30pm will be held on the following dates:

• Wednesday 20th November 2024
• Tuesday 3rd December 2024
• Wednesday 15th January 2025
• Tuesday 11th February 2025
