Parents' Association
Every parent and carer are automatically a member of the Parents’ Association (PA) whilst their children attend Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School.
The PA work alongside staff to raise funds of around £10,000 via events to enhance our children’s education.
The funds go towards prizes and trophies for awards, books, equipment such as cameras and microphones, MyMaths learning resource subscription, Digimaps subscription to access Ordnance Survey maps, wellbeing activities like Yoga, dancing and the creation of a school garden, and the ‘newspaper in a day’ project where students work with editors and reporters to produce a school newspaper.
Events
There are several fundraising and social events throughout the academic year such as the 200 Club, Christmas Fayre, including a grand raffle and auction, a Dinner & Dance and Choir Fest.
Get Involved
The PA is a great opportunity to support the school and get involved in a relaxed, social setting. The PA meet a couple of times per term on a weekday evening, you don’t have to attend every meeting and partners can take it in turn to attend – dates for meetings are communicated on our mailing list.
Alternately you can volunteer and donations of cakes, wine and raffle prizes to help with our fundraising endeavours are always gratefully received.
