Year 9 Girls Coastal & Wolds Rounders Tournaments Jun 24

Year 9 Coastal & Wolds Girls Tournament was held at QEGS Horncastle last Wednesday. The weather forecast wasn't looking good, but fortunately the rain just about stayed away.

QEGS Horncastle entered 2 teams; the A team finished 1st in their group, winning all their games (scoring 15 ½ rounders & only conceding 4 ½ rounders) & the B team Finished 2^nd in their group. This meant that QEGS A played QEGS B in the semi final, which QEGS A won.

The losing semi finalists then played in the 3rd/4^th play-off, so QEGS B played Caistor Grammar, which resulted in a win for Caistor Grammar.

In the Final, QEGS Horncastle A played QEGS Alford; this was an excellent final with a high level of skill on display, resulting in a 5 ½ to 3 win for QEGS Horncastle A.
