There was a tri school U15 girls rugby game on Monday afternoon with QEGS, Banovallum and De Aston in attendance. QEGS brought 13 players, Banovallum brought four (they also had a football match that took away some of their players) and De Aston 12. In the first half the sides consisted of the QEGS girls plus two of the Banovallum girls vs the De Aston girls with the other two Banovallum girls. 

By half time the QEGS + guests side were 3 - 1 tries up. Mr Young from Banovallum was the referee and decided that to 'even things up' all the Banovallum girls would play with De Aston. The 13 QEGS girls now faced a combined team of 16 players!  It did not deter them and they went on to win by 8 - 2 tries! 

It was an excellent performance by the girls and it was so good to see a competitive girls rugby game. The game was played at Horncastle RFC's ground.
