QEGS jazz and pop cafe
On Thursday 13th February, the music department and Parents' Association joined together for the QEGS jazz and pop cafe. Student bands, soloists, the KS3 choir and QEGS jazz band provided an excellent evening of musical entertainment, alongside cream teas, cakes and sweets being available for purchase. Music included everything from Jessie J and Coldplay to The Cranberries and Bill Withers - there really was something for everyone! The students led the evening and over £500 was raised. The money has been split equally between the Parents' Association and QEGS extracurricular music. We are grateful to Steve Pitts from Lincolnshire Music Service for running the jazz band this year, and to the Parents' Association who funded the project.
