QEGS Drama and Arts Students Take on London
Tuesday 18th & Wednesday 19th March
44 Drama, Art & Music students descended upon London to immerse themselves in the vibrant arts and culture offered by the capital city.

Day One
After arriving in London just after lunch, we made our way to the Tate Modern. Students explored an inspiring collection of contemporary and modern art, with thought-provoking exhibitions that spanned different cultures, eras, and artistic styles.
Following our gallery visit, we stopped by the hotel to drop off luggage before heading to Bella Italia for dinner. The lively Italian restaurant was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal together before the evening’s entertainment.
Once everyone was recharged, we made our way to the Savoy Theatre for our first show of the trip: Mean Girls the Musical. With its sharp humour, energetic performances, and catchy songs, the production had students thoroughly entertained and buzzing with excitement.
After a full day of travel, art, and theatre, we headed back to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.

Day Two
We began our second day with a hearty full English breakfast before setting off on a river boat tour down the Thames. Cruising through the heart of the city, students took in the iconic sights of London such as the Tower Bridge, the London Eye, and the Houses of Parliament along the way.
Later, students had the opportunity to explore Covent Garden, soaking up the lively atmosphere, watching street performers, and enjoying a bit of free time in one of London’s most popular districts.
Our trip concluded with a visit to the Playhouse Theatre to see Cabaret. The powerful and immersive production captivated the group and sparked meaningful discussion about performance, staging, and theatrical themes.

What a trip! Packed with creativity, culture, and unforgettable moments, our London adventure was a huge success. The students represented QEGS with maturity, enthusiasm, and outstanding behaviour throughout.
