Pupils Attend VoiceIT

On 24^th January, students in years 9 and 10 had the opportunity to attend Voice It, a music industry at Lincolnshire Showground organised by Lincolnshire Music Service. During the day, students opted to attend different workshops led by professionals including choral/harmony singing (Mark deLisser, composer & vocal coach on The Masked Singer), vocal performance skills (Hayley Sanderson, vocalist on Strictly Come Dancing, audio and sound production (Hannah Fletcher, BBC Radio Lincolnshire), rap and poetry (Karl Nova), 'LIfe on the Road' (The Drill Hall) and song writing (Elliot Morris, QEGS Alumnus & professional singer songwriter). At lunchtime we were privileged to watch a performance by the band from RAF Cranwell. The day was fun, insightful and provided opportunity for hands-on development of skills. Students thoroughly enjoyed the day and it raised awareness of the vast scope of career opportunities within the music industry, beyond just being on stage.  The photos show Jess and Amelie (Y9) performing vocal solos before receiving constructive feedback and tips from Hayley Sanderson, and Tayo (Y10) performing an original song with Elliot Morris.
