Open Mic Lunch

QEGS music department have been organising a series of open mic lunches this academic year, where students can perform solos, duos and ensembles of their own choice to an informal audience of friends and staff. 

The event has proven to be very popular.  This month's open mic (the fourth in the series) included the second movement of Beethoven's cello sonata (performed by a Year 12 student, accompanied by a Year 11 student), a piano performance of 'Skyfall' (Year 9) and two vocal solos (Year 8 and Year 11).  Our next open mic lunch will be at the end of the next half term, in May.
