National Golf Championships

On Wednesday 10th July, three students from QEGS took part in the English Schools Team Golf Championships at Woodhall Spa Golf Club. Neve Begley (Y13), Archie Edney (Y12) and Henry Price (Y10) were competing in this event after successfully winning the County Competition in May.

The team were competing against some of the best young golfers from across England. Overall the team played extremely well and scored a very respectful 64 stableford points, placing them Tied 14th overall out of 27 schools competing.

Individually, Henry finished in 22nd place, Archie finished in 35th place and Neve finishing in 58th place out of 80 students competing. The team were a pleasure to watch and were a credit to the school. They should be very proud of their achievements.
