SchoolMusic Day at Banovallum
On Tuesday 18th January 19 students attended a music day at Banovallum School with the Band of the Prince of Wales from Royal Army Corps of Music. The day consisted of a concert by the Army's brass ensemble, time spent playing alongside the Army musicians in a rehearsal, and a careers presentation about life as an Army musician. The day was excellent!
Students were not only able to learn about what being a professional musician could mean, but they also developed instrument-specific, sight reading and ensemble playing skills. The visiting musicians were friendly and helpful; it was a really worthwhile experience.
