Horncastle Arts and Music Festival - 05/2023

As part of the Horncastle Arts and Music Festival, the school orchestra, chamber choir and creative writing group organised a 'music and words' performance in St Mary's Church.  With royalty as their theme, poems written by students and well-known poets were presented alongside a variety of music including Jupiter (Holst), Greensleeves and Heart of Stone (Six the Musical).  The event began with the National Anthem and the audience joined the performers at the end in the singing of Jerusalem.  In addition, the KS3 Art Club worked hard all term to produce some spectacular 3D crowns which were displayed in the church for the duration of the festival.
