On Monday 16^th December, it was sadly the Y11's last football match for the school as they narrowly lost 1-0 to Queen Elizabeth's High School, Gainsborough in the first round of the county cup. Despite going behind early in the match, the team battled extremely hard to try and find an equaliser to take the match to extra time, however, it wasn't meant to be.

For most students in the team, they have represented the school football team since Y7 and have been integral to the success of the team. It was also fitting that for some students that played, it was their first experience of playing for the school team and they did a great job.
