Football Pool Placement

The morning pool placed us with Spalding Academy, Kings and Somercotes. We narrowly lost to Kings and Somercotes but beat Spalding convincingly. These results placed us third in the pool. We lost Ben Smith who suffered a concussion and took no further part in the tournament. 

In the afternoon we were placed in the third placed pool along with Banovallum, Tollbar and Cowley Academy. We beat Cowley but marginally lost our other two games which again placed us third. 

Despite the results, it was a tremendous performance by all of the team. They clearly learnt a lot during the games and kept adapting their play to maximise their opportunities in their next games. We had used all our substitutes going into our last three games and the remaining seven played on through their fatigue and some injuries. In most of the games we lost, there was only a try in it.
