Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School Horncastle

Shoebox Appeal
The photograph shows two members of the Student Council handing over the shoeboxes for collection.

As part of the Student Council’s remit to work with charities, the school was delighted to take part in the Rotary Shoebox appeal in the run-up to the festive period, which sends shoeboxes filled with toys, clothing, or simply just essential items such as toothbrushes and soap, to those much more unfortunate than ourselves in Eastern Europe. The Council representatives organised, chivied and ultimately ensured that we filled 30 boxes in time for Christmas. It was a pleasure to oversee this unfold, and the Student Council’s members showed drive and determination in ensuring this happened. Thank you to all parents who supported this charity collection – these simple donations have made a huge difference to others’ lives.
