The theme of this year’s campaign was Too Much information – Changing Attitudes to Autism. Years 7 – 10 were shown informational videos during form period and discussed the diversity of autism. Mrs Whelan in the Learning Support Department organised a range of activities during the course of the week designed to further raise awareness of and an empathy with the challenges facing people with ASD on a daily basis. One of the most popular activities was the virtual reality headset which allowed students and staff to experience the effects of ‘Information Overload’. Fundraising also took place with an Easter Egg themed tombola and guess the number game. Over £40 was raised for The National Autistic Society.
