Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School Horncastle

We are delighted to announce the introduction of BYOD (bring your own device) at QEGS.  Initially available to our Sixth Form students, this means that own devices such as laptops, tablets and netbooks can be brought to school and will have approved, regulated access to our school wi-fi network.

The aim will be for BYOD to become an important classroom tool, enabling staff to enhance the learning experience for students of all abilities. It is intended that this increases the use of technology in a broad range of lessons; staff will be able to plan and explore the use of other educational tools, for example, educational apps, the vast majority of which are available in multiple formats across a range of devices for use at school and at home.

Students and parents are asked to read and sign a specific user agreement, which can be found within student planners, before own devices are utilised at school.  A copy of the agreement can be found on this page for reference.
